How it works
Choose what the code should do, fill in the details and the QR code updates as you type. Download it as a PNG for printing or sharing, or SVG to scale it to any size without blurring.
Error correction lets a code still scan when part of it is damaged or covered. Higher levels make the code denser; "Medium" suits most uses.
Codes are made in your browser. What you type (including Wi-Fi passwords) isn't sent anywhere or saved, and these codes never expire because they don't go through any website.
Worked example
A Wi-Fi code for network "Home" with a WPA password contains WIFI:T:WPA;S:Home;P:yourpassword;;. Guests point their phone camera at it and join without typing the password.
Questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The link or text is stored in the code itself, not on a website, so it works for as long as the link does.
Can I change the colours?
Yes, but keep strong contrast: a dark code on a light background scans best. Light-on-dark codes don't work with every scanner.
What size should I print it?
At least 2 × 2 cm for scanning up close; as a rule of thumb, make it about a tenth of the distance people will scan from.
