How it works
Your age is counted in whole years since your date of birth, then whole months since your last birthday, then the days left over. Total days are the exact number of days between the two dates, including leap days.
Worked example
Born on 15 May 1990, on 3 November 2026 you are 36 years, 5 months and 19 days old: 36 birthdays, then 5 months from 15 May to 15 October, then 19 days to 3 November.
Questions
What if I was born on 29 February?
In years without a 29 February, this calculator counts your birthday as 28 February. (For some legal purposes, such as in England and Wales, the birthday is treated as 1 March.)
Can I work out an age on another date?
